John Matthews, supervisor of interlibrary loan at UIC and author of This Is Where it Gets Interesting, talks about inspiration, amnesia and following raindrops in a Sept. 15 interview with Publishers Weekly.
The self-published collection includes 28 short stories with subjects ranging from hard-boiled crime to a talking tornado. Matthews, who funded his project through the online crowdfunding platform Kickstarter, has been writing for 25 years.
